Recently the access to the Wifi router has been denied to our part of the office so I can’t connect to the internet over Wifi with the N900 anymore. My laptop is connected over the Ethernet and has connectivity, is there any way I can share this connection via Bluetooth so that I can access the internet on my phone?

Bluetooth DUN works the other way, the phones internet connection is used by the PC

Is there any way to do this guys?

Thanks.

you can create an ad hoc network over wifi and share internet connection to wireless network. if you are using windows 7 you have to disable ipv6 from network settings.

I don't know about doing it with bluetooth but if your laptop has wifi then all you have to do is enable internet connection sharing and then create an ad hock wireless network on the laptop and connect the N900 over wifi.

If using Windows 7, you can try Connectify (google it).

That Wiki explains pretty shortly how to share Internet connection FROM different devices, but not enough to get N900 -> BT -> PC -> Internet working.

This thread has discussion of the same issue.
(For Fedora, see this.)

Thanks KetkyFIN, I downloaded a program called Connectify (eases the sharing process) to do this, but i noticed that my battery was flat after about 3 hours (would generally last me the entire day when connected to a normal Wifi AP).

Is this normal?
