Does anyone know if this is a possibility? I tried the MAME emulators we currently have and they work well, the only thing missing however is CPS3, which FinalBurn has. (CPS1, CPS2, CPS3, neogeo, pgm and cave games to be more specific)

I used to play FinalBurn WinCE 0.014 on my old pocket pc (iPAQ 214, 600mhz, 128mb ram) and was able to play street fighter 3 at full speed http://www.modaco.com/content/smartp...r-wince-0-014/ so I think the n900 has the capability hardware wise

Yep, a port for FBA would be nice.

it's nice that there is some interest.

So bumping this and hopefully someone with the skills could take up this for their next project

going to try mame used to use it on pc and it was brilliant nemesis, salamander and r-type. hope FBA gets ported that would be great

I would kill for Street Fighter 3 on my N900, but looking at SF Alpha 3 @ 900MHz, which runs at around 0.5x speed, I am in great doubt it will run any faster.

Will lurk some more and if no one picks it up, I might give it a shot.

It runs so well it's the only emulator (apart from NES one) I have running with frameskip 0

That's all cool but SF3 works with CPS3. You are talking Street Fighter Alpha 3 which is more like 2.5 in the timeline. I am talking about Street Fighter III 1st generation/2nd impact/3rd strike (3rd strike preferably).

I will try and find some time these days - my todo list is overwhelmed by university, working, freelancing and studying design(,music,drawing,personal projects,socializing,gf....free time?).
