Lighting simulation can be performed in Radiance. It pioneered the concept of high dynamic range imaging. Try it out on desktop, and decide whether it would be helpful to have it on Maemo.

It would be great to have a lighting diagrams creator application for photo sessions in studio or outside or for photo planning.
Something like Lighting Studio or Photo Studio Buddy for Android. I use Lighting Studio with Nitdroid, a similar app for Maemo may be very useful for professional photographers or photo students like me
