Hey guys i was currious if anyone has been able to complete outgoing calls via a secondary service with the gizmo project. For example the ability to use voipbuster for outgoing calls would be nice. It looks like if you put the voipbuster info in for the secondary and tell it to use the secondary it only tries to send to other people on the voipbuster network and not to actually use that as a dial out plan.

Does anyone have any info on this matteR?

I only use the secondary service with Gizmo, calling to SIP-partners (=to PCs) as well as to landlines/mobiles.

how are you configuring it for the ability to connect to landlines? Because when i try to dial my secondary it just sends a voice chat to number@sip.server.

Thats exactly what it's supposed to do: Send a number to your SIP-provider.

You dont configure anything in Gizmo to make landline calls. Your SIP-provider has to offer this functionality (and you'll probably pay for this). In my case, I'm using both sipcall.at and sipgate.at as providers, having both of them configured on my desktop PC. On my 770, Gizmo can only handle one account, but that's better than nothing.

When I send them a 0123456789@sipcall.at, they will put this call through to 01-23456789 (=landline) and charge me for it. Likewise, they offer a landline phone number for free (an Austrian number ), and whoever calls me there will make my 770 ring.

Of course I can still call 'pure' SIP-accounts (PC-to-PC or Nokia770-to-PC in this case).

I have an old Stanaphone account that I setup with Gizmo and have successfully dialed out to a landlines and mobile lines with the secondary service. Worked pretty seamlessly actually, making as well as receiving calls.

I use grandcentral with gizmo to make and receive calls to land lines and cell phones. GandCentral gives you a free phone number. All phones numbers you put in your grancentral phone book you can call thru grandcentral mobile website. Also anyone who calls you you can return their call thru grancentral website.

I am also having problem using voipbuster on n800. PC call - no problem. But on gizmo it just rings forever until disconnected... Not sure what the problem is. Although both of my accounts (gizmo and voipbuster) have the same username, I wonder if that might be causing any problems.
