I decided to give OVI Suite a last trial to see if it could sync the SMS from my N900. I was having OVI Suite version 2.2XX; and noticed there was an update version #3.0.0.290 so downloaded it.
Nicely surprised to see the latest version seemed supporting N900. Successfully sync the SMS and then tried to download a OVI map to N900. It finally works.
Still not fully satisfied why NOKIA has to take so long to make OVI Suite to her supposedly flag-ship product "N900". Late is still better than never.
I think I would give up the plan to change phone for now.
