When I type leafpad /etc/multiboot.d/11-NITDroid-mmcblk0p2-2.6.28.NIT.06.item and press TAB button and then enter I get blank document in leaf pad. Please help

That sounds pretty normal,if the file did not exist before you issued the command. Cpoy and paste the content for the file from the howto you are following or search the forum to get the content.

did you install the kernel first? if not , that file wont be there
