I know this may have been covered already but i cant seem to find anything that works. i recently installed a new transition.ini file into /usr/share/hildon-desktop/ and since then tc wont open. i tried a purge and a reinstall with no luck, also rebooted but nothing.
can some one please help?

Sounds like there's a problem with the 'new' transition.ini. Replace it with the old one and see if it's still crashing?

Also, try starting transitioncontrol in x-term and see if it gives any clues in the output.

I'm not a python coder but that to me sounds like it's having trouble reading your 'new' transition.ini file.

So, replace it with the old one. Obviously you took a backup didn't you?

Why not use that obscure google site - for example: http://maemo.gitorious.org/fremantle...ransitions.ini

thats a solution as well....that google site is so uncommon that i hardly remember it lol thanks man.
