my E6-00 is acting all funky, sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes to boot and load homescreens, sometimes it says 'phone couldnt start - contact retailer.

im not the original owner but by manufacturing date it should beunder warranty. however USA warranty checker page by serial number says no deal. i cant find any page like that on the malaysian site.

anybody can help? ill ship it to you and cover any other costs you incur shipping it to nokia service

1) uninstall any anti virus like f secure, mobile security. Then restart & see. Still fail, try factory reset.
2) check your sim card with service provider
3) ship direct to nokia care malaysia for repair. Going thru a stranger as 3rd party is very risky.
4) if possible, check with original owner whether the E6 fell into water or anything of the kind.

Btw, i'm a E6 owner. The restarts, slow load issue normally caused by anti virus.

thanks ill try to ditch f-secure in a few days and will report back. i forgot the damn lock code and it wont let me uninstall. I am waiting for it to expire (4 more days) and hope i can uninstall it then.

i like the E6, its a great phone (when it works). im hoping we get belle for it soon. i have an n8 with belle that i use for media only (no sim card in it) and its awesome

also when i was flashing with phoenix i got the message

"WARNING: Asic CMT: NAND status reported bad blocks"

its been so erratic i was thinking it might actually have bad NAND

your should hard format your phone...no need any tools just press....

and enter the security codes for hard format....

if yous don't remember your security codes then turn off your device then press & hold this button...

and turn on your device....keep holding these three button until date & time setting appears...this is hard format at it best...

I find it weird you didnt buy your E6 in US. It's not like the N9 where it's not available.

yeah i got it off ebay for about $100 under retail
