I can no longer download emails using the default email client from my gmail account. I get notifications that new emails have arrived and I can see the list of messages in my inbox with their respective subjects, but I cannot read the actual emails. If I click an email to read the message, it just shows the loading squircle forever.

The last email it downloaded was on the 23rd. Everything since then shows subject and attachments only.

I tried deleting my account and readding it, same problem.

As you can see, everything after the email I received on the 23rd says "no preview."

Weird.

use 2FA authorisation from gmail.com. It will allow you to use gmail.com to be used on mulitple devices. This could be one of the reasons why you cant get the full email. Also try rebooting your phone after that.

Do let us know if it works.

I do not think that 2FA authorization has anything to do with that as that has been enabled some time ago like 8/9 months ago, i also have the same problem here and not even if i try from the browser it won't even open gmail.com. i also found out that the Catalogues are gone from application manager as i was trying to find another browser. if somebody has any clue ???

Thanks

D

It looks like there was something wrong with the gmail services and also with the catalogues, After a whole day of patience and a few restarts it came back.
Thanks

Yeah, mine is working again. Weird. I was almost willing to set up 2FA.

Since the gmail service interference earlier my N9 kept using more battery, even though operation resumed normally again after a while. Could be a stuck process, but it's probably a good idea for anyone who uses gmail to do a full restart at this point.
