Try to import just a subset of your contacts. (First 10%, second 10%, etc.) See if that breaks. Please report results.

I took my contacts vcard info and added the file to my Mac Book Pro address book application. I was able to read my contacts. Then used my Mac Address Book to export it as vcard again and upload it to my yahoo account.
Result is not as pretty as my contacts in Nokia n900. But I still have to go in and organize my contacts in Yahoo to merge duplicate entries of same contacts that have partial contact info in each of them. I still like my n900, too bad. n900 don't have any apps like Vonage/netTalk for unlimited world calling, this is what drove me. Beside my dad gave me a free unlocked Iphone 4s

Some of my contacts in N900 are in Chinese/Japanese characters, but my windows 7 64bit is in US English. Could this be an issue?
Please help...
