Hmm..was accidentally to delete the default transition.ini and my phone got restart and everything messy..
izit possible to use window to access my n900 with something like x-term or filebox to let me paste back the transition to original to make it normal back ..? :X (PS: i cant use any function of my n900..cant xterm cant filebox...all doesnt work)

try backup-menu or i think you can try ssh via back-up menu if you have that..

Did you try if Ctrl + x in the early stages open a X-Terminal to fix transitions.ini in /usr/share/hildon-desktop?

CTRL + SHIFT + X to get into xterm.

Then check /usr/share/hildon-desktop for versions of Transitions.ini

In my case there were only backup versions not a current one and my phone had basically no functions at all.

I resolved by copying a backup version via command cp transitions.ini.precssu transitions.ini

EDIT: See attached for transitions.txt (rename to transitions.ini)

I had that once. I fixed it by doing the following:
- i used Maemo-flasher to disable the watchdog functions
- i booted the N900 with watchdogs off,
- i pressed [cntrl][shift][X] to open Xterm,
- i replaced the broken transitions.ini with a backup (hope you have one...)
- re-enabled the watchdogs with maemo-flasher
and now it works again.

But be VERY carefull, and make sure know what you are doing!

hmm..i "flasher-3.5 --enable-rd-mode --set-rd-flags=no-lifeguard-reset" and then i still cant open the xterm out...anyway...how to close it?

what happens? error message?

If you get ssh working, it would be possible to write the transitions.ini with winscp.

Do you have CSSU Features installed?

Maybe this helps to brings a default transitions.ini back???

thk for all u guys help i tried most of the methods and it doesnt works..and i hav to use my phone urgently so i hav to flash it..now on the way reinstallin things 1 by 1
