I was wondering: if I flash my phone's firmware to PR 1.1, will be still able to get the OTA uptade for 1.2? or will I need to flash it again for getting the 1.2?

Thank you.

Yes you will...
I'd flash to a variant that's likely to get the OTA/NSU update earliest though.

I tried to flash it but it did not worked... it says "downfrade disallowed".
My current firmware is 059M8W6: N9 RM-696 Country Variant Switzerland CH White 64GB V1_COLOR - 10.2011.34-1.232.01.2_PR_232...

I tried to flash a 68GB Swiss Legacy firmware...

You obviously didn't read the posts that I linked to...
Once you have you'll know why you're getting that error msg.

you should be able to use the 64GB black swiss variant, someone else here had success with that.
I have the same you have, 059M8W6, but I'm still prodding Nokia to make the update available officially.

I really have no idea why they make us wait. They know how to make a great phone, but it seems to end there....

I read it but I tried to reflash a newer version, from a 10.2011 to a 20.2011... Do not why it does not worked... I thought that the region code was about the same firmware version...

For instance Jakima says:

- My N9 was 10.2011.34-1_PR_299 (Country variant – Australia 64GB)
- Flashed it to 10.2011.34-1_PR_339 (Sweden) (Just as an experiment. =P)
- Later flashed it to 20.2011.40-4_PR_LEGACY_001 (which is PR1.1)
- Now I can flash to any PR1.1 variant FW if I want as 001 is the lowest.

How could he get to flash it from 10.2011.34-1_PR_339 to 20.2011.40-4_PR_LEGACY_001 ? Code region is lower...

It's a crappy update process... I hate them...

I am still asking for this on their Twitter account (NOKIA ASE -> https://twitter.com/#!/NokiaASE/stat...59396001624064).

My fear is that they decide to skip the PR 1.1 for us and wait for the 1.2...

Because he jumped from PR1.0 to PR1.1...
You can't flash to a lower PR code for the same fw image/release.
But he didn't do that, he flashed to a lower PR code, but w/a diff image/release.
