Hi... I'm hoping this community will be able to help me. I'm a complete Nokia 770 n00b--I just recieved it last night, and I was very excited. I let it charge up, and turned it on.

Following the quick start guide, I clicked on an existing bookmark, and let the 770 search for a network--it found over 15 networks near my house, not including mine (which was hidden).

I tried to use the Control Panel/Connections to add the hidden network, but it didn't work. Furthermore, now the 770 can't see ANY networks, when it could see a bunch before I tried to make it see mine.

I am using version 3.2006.49-2, and I am not Linux savvy.
I have reflashed the firmware (twice) using the Nokia updater for XP.
The 770 is not in offline mode.

Any ideas?

I'm sending it back to Nokia for repair/replacement.

I had the same problem. I initially thought it was a hardware problem too, but I think what it was was that one of my neighbors had a 802.11n network, which I have heard makes the 770 unable to see any wireless signals. So I found a place in the back yard where my signal was present, but the neighbor's wasn't. Then I was able to connect to my router. Once I saved the connection, I never had the problem again, I can see my signal anytime now.
