Today I turned on my 770 and discovered that, whenever I went to an application that required black or dark menu elements, all of the vertical columns of pixels near the elements would turn some slightly fuzzy darker shade (instead of the white or other color they were before). This made xterm look like this:


(sorry for the blurriness, I suck at taking close ups using a camera phone. that wavy pattern you see in the blackness of the xterm is what is actually visible on the screen)

I reflashed the device with the latest OS 2006 and the same thing happened again.

Anyone have any experiences like this? Should I get it replaced under warranty (I've had it all of 3 days)?

I'm pretty sad that this is happening to my new toy .
