a few days ago I bought a N800, but I am unable to get it to work on the company WIFI network.
I have a HTC S620 with wifi and that works fine. Basically I used the same settings on my N800 to get it to work:
- WPA + EAP
- PEAP
- EAP MSCHAPv2
advanced settings : Proxy
If I connect I get an error pop-up: No CA-certifiate available to validate the server-certificate (I get this error in Dutch, but translated it to English)
When I click the OK, it continues and connects:
I received Ip-address, gateway, DNS, etc ... all correct
When I use the browser I get an error: Proxyserver not found ! I assumed that I used a wrong format for the proxy-info in advanced, so I disabled it. In that case I get an Server not found message (even when I use an address on the intranet)
Is there a specific notation to be used ? How do I seperate (; or ,) the addresses of the servers, ips that should not use the proxy ?
address-1; address-2
can I use *.be
Is my problem caused by the certificate-error or has it something to do with the proxy ? Can some-one help.
I've installed an xterm program and have the prompt on my machine, but I probably need root-access; are the commands like ifconfig, netstat, etc ... available, or do I need to install those from somewhere ?
Some help would be appreciated .... I want to use my Nokia at work !
