Does anyone know about installing wine on the 770? HAs it been done before?

Nope. Not without a CPU emulator as well. Wine translates function calls in near real time (faster sometimes) because it's run on the same processer. You need an Intel emulator (bochs?) and you might be able to run something like Wine ontop of that, but no chance for semi-useful speeds.
