hi,
bought an n9 last month and was able to successfully configure gmail, yahoo and facebook accounts. last week i cleared all accounts but since then i am not able to configure any accounts for eg, when i try configuring gmail, for a long time it shows the waiting symbol, and after that the timeout happens, saying - could not connect to gmail. same with facebook also. any help?

ps: i am able to configure the nokia account.

delete all your internet connections, reboot then try adding the accounts again...


if it doesn't work you can do the following:

as user (not root) in terminal

rm -rf /home/user/.qmf
rm -rf /home/user/.accounts
rm -rf /home/user/.activesync

the above commands will delete your messages, emails, accounts and contacts so do a backup of them first...

^^doesn't work. Still the same

tried rebooting many timed. Now deleted .wmf, accounts and .activedync

still facing the same prob

btw hw do i delete active intrrnet connectoon

as user in terminal type:

Code:
gconftool --recursive-unset /system/http_proxy
gconftool --recursive-unset /system/proxy
gconftool --recursive-unset /system/osso

Edit:

After doing the above, reboot then try creating your accounts again...The code above will delete your internet connections too...

worked like a charm!!!! i dont have any idea how to thank you. thanks a lot man.... i hv been trying whatever i cud do for the last one week, but i didnt have any idea. thanks a lot once again
