OK i got my brothers Nokia 770 recently and i know nothing about lunux. I am a long standing windows user but i would like to install mtpaint on my tablet so i can use it better in my collage classes (I am a digital media and animation major) but i can't seem to figure out how to install the bugger. Please help and be patient with me. Thank you.

?? There is a download section where the is a .deb.. no idea how well it works though.

Assuming you are using OS2008 go here on the tablet and tap/click the first link(under the picture) in the first post. The app manager will then start and install the app.
