Hello everyone. I had an issue 2 months ago but lasted for 1 day only. Now it happened 2 weeks ago and lasted till now. I am freaking out. I don't think it's a software issue, but here we go.
I have to plug my N9 3-6 times to make it charge, and whenever I plug the phone to the PC it never connects and gives me a message on my PC saying "USB Device not recognized". At first I thought it was from Windows, then I turned on Ubuntu and tried but to no avail. Then I thought it was from the cable, but I tried other cables without benefiting anything. So I am stuck with WinSCP to copy/remove stuff and have some bad time charging it. Solution anyone? If it is a HW problem, I don't wanna take it to Nokia Care, they'll just ruin it. So I prefer to do it myself with some help.
Thanks everybody for your time.

What a genius, I haven't thought of that! -.- I reflashed and I am not ready to do it again now, I don't have the time to restore everything

I still can't seem to find 1 sensible solution.. So should I risk it and get it to Nokia Care?

Usually that's the only sensible solution with HW problems.

Guys, i don't know if it is an HW problem or SW, I don't know what happened. I plugged it in like usual 20 times last night and today morning, while right now it's completely fine, I can connect it, charge it from the first time and everything. I haven't taken it to Nokia Care neither tried any solving technique (even the rice method, yes I am THAT lazy.) So it was solved out of no where, I haven't even reflashed. So is it a software issue or a weird hardware issue?

I'm still thinking flaky HW. Maybe you brushed the contacts clean while repeatedly plugging/unplugging it?
