Is there a way to change the sound and the volume for the GPE Calendar Alarm Sound? It is extremly loud and sounds like a car alarm going wild...
today it started in the tube, I quickly took out the tablet but hit the wrong button on the screen, the alarm window closed (so no "dismiss" button any more...) and so I had to endure the entire 30 seconds (which felt like 30 minutes) until it stopped by itself. I did not have my headphones with me to plug those into the n800...

I just studied the source and it appears that the alarm sound is generated in real-time, so you can't choose the sound. Also, although there does seem to be some kind of routine to change the sound level, it is never called.

I think we'll have to wait for the next release for these things, and just be happy that the current version gpe-calendar finally emits any kind of alarm sound for the alarm. :/

thank you so much for looking into this quite deeply (source code for me is like rocket science...). Yes, I am VERY happy with the GPE Calendar Alarm sound, just perfect, nice timbre, sweet melody, perfect loudness..--))))
