Yes. I agree definitely the mic that picks up our voice during telephone conversation is very low. Is it placed inside the speaker grill at the bottom of the device? I'd have to cup the lower part of the N9 for the other party to listen to what I say, even in a quiet environment.

Happens to me too.

Although the earpiece sounds great.

Is it possible that we can change the (audio) compression settings used by our phone? If so, how?

i tried n9tweak but.... it only raise predriv, not the mic.

i raise the mic using alsa mixer

TX1 can choose digimic0 or analog
TX1 Digi (is for volume)

TX2 can choose digimic0 or analog
TX2 Digi (is for volume)

the TX1 is for speak,? the TX2 is for noise cacelation and camera sound recording?

apparently when a call is established the sound settings are turned on and fluctuate.
I would like to know how to modify the input values from the calling program, not the alsamixer.

also if you change the settings from alsamixer when I hang up the call these back to their initial value (I think)

Anyone fixed the low mic volume problem? Before the N9 i had a HTC Desire and never had issues like that. But now a lot of people that I am calling say that they hear me very weak. It also seems to change. I now often ask them if they hear me OK and it just depens, sometimes they hear me ok, other times the level is very low. Is there a fix?

I've heard other people complain about it, but never noticed it on my device. Maybe it's just a false statement because we compare everything nowadays and not all models are exactly alike.
