I hope I am asking in the right forum. I think I am since it is a device-specific question. Here goes:
Is there a way that I can backup the entire device, as it is now (accounts, progs, settings) everything except maybe media?
What I basically want is to have a failsafe backup. Mess with the phone and if something goes wrong I restore as it was in the beginning. Not a virgin firmware, as new but as I had it when it was backed up.

Thanks for any reply!

You should search first.
Or maybe ask Wolke about it.

You might see if Backup Menu works for your purpose -- I think you still need open mode kernel to use it.
Also User juiceme has a utility and some instructions for doing exactly what you seek, even if the device is partially dead.
See these posts as well as some of the context around them in the thread for help.

@Mikkosssss: Hmm, I did search, but maybe not good enough. I apologize for that. I am not sure you are sarcastic or not about contactin Wolke

@robthebold: Thank you for your suggestions. I am looking for something like a flashable image, just like restoring the phone, but not to factory settings. I will look into your suggestions.

If you check some Wolkes posts you will find him explaining his backup system.
