I disabled tohd as described in the comments (systemctl mask tohd.service; systemctl stop tohd.service) since I only have one Other Half anyway
I'm now charging the battery to full, let's see what happens. Until now my average drop has been abot 10% per hour.

How's the battery life now?
Any improvement when tohd service disabled?

i made a hardware hack, just put thinfoil on the nfc receiver. Battery percentage dropped only 2% in six hours, it was in the night without use, Wi-Fi and mobile was on +email sync .

Basically, NFC is always switched on and it should be switched on only when the back cover is removed. According to the blog, the forthcoming bug fix could increase idle battery life from around 48 hours to near 500 hours.
This bug was found & analysed by Jolla community. I don't know any other phone maker where the paying customers are so deeply involved in product development & testing... great testament to Jolla community!
Update/Clarification:It has been tentatively confirmed (as per the blog above) that Jolla idle state battery consumption will decrease from 2 % per hour to 0.2 % per hour when tohd service is stopped (giving maximum battery life of up to 100 / 0.2 % = 500 hours).
It is not confirmed that removing The Other Half, removing the NFC label from The Other Half, or inserting a tin foil between the NFC reader and the NFC label has any effect on battery consumption.
Update 2: The blog mentioned above contains step-by-step instructions for stopping the service... and according to the blog, the "hardware method" (a.k.a. DIY tinfoil) works, too.
