I have a lot of them but there is always someone with more. Both tech and knowledge.

My questions.

How should you store devices so they live longer. Dark, with or without battery.temperature and so forth.

How long can a battery survive? Can it be used in let's say 10 or 20 years?

I'd say charge batteries to 80% and put next to a phone. Dark room, no humidity, 20 centigrade should be fine. I don't know what else you can do to help them, well yes, vacuum would be better.
