There are suggestions about this in together.jolla.com... personally, I think that the idea of letting me change my favourite settings quickly from the Setting's home page is enough. This, of course, varies depending on how often people change these settings.

Maybe it is something that would come in the future with improved ambiance (linking settings like wifi on/off with a specific ambiance)

i'd say you (or anyone more skilled than me) could write a small app with an active cover that lets you toggle wifi and possibly bluetooth (or even with a setting to manage what 2 toggles you'd like to have) ...
How can I activate the wifi without going to settings application?
