Hello,

I miss a feature in N800 that may be there but I can't find it: ability to specify http proxy for the web browser, to use also when disconnected. I would like to use a web cache such as wwwoffle when not connected, to read previously cached pages when offline. However, that requires that wwwoffle is configured as http proxy for the browser. Otherwise, can anyone suggest a good way to do offline browsing?

Thanks,
Claes

RTFM.

On the 770 the proxy is configured under the "Advanced" button on the final screen of the connection wizard. I imagine it's the same on the N800.

HTH,

Andrew

That functionality is indeed in the advanced tab, gotten to through the configuration tab.... it has all but "socks" (bummer).

I'm looking for the same thing, an offline browser. I also use wwwoffle on my laptop which is a caching proxy. When I'm offline, It allows me to browse the last pages I went to while being online.

Any caching proxy that does the same?

Thanks

I'll look into it. I have no knowledge about squid. It also does "offline browsing"?
Thanks!
