i'm trying to recover data from my n9,after i crashed the SCREEN, i roamed the forum and couldn't find a single clear steps to do as most advice assumes that the user know how to use linux, so can any one please list the steps that i need to do to usb networking so i can packup my phone?

- i flashed my phone to MOSLO but i couldn't follow what to do next!

thanks

Well, You do need linux as Windows can only mount the MyDocs partition which is vfat. Other partitions are ext4 which Windows knows nothing about. (but if you only want to save pictures/videos/music then windows could be OK as those are stored on MyDocs)

1.) Get ubiboot kernel; http://www.swagman.org/juice/ubiboot...boot-02_040613
2.) Get flasher (linux or windows, depends)
3.) Boot the device without flashing kernel permanently: "sudo flasher -k zImage_2.6.32.54-ubiboot-02_040613 -l -b"
4.) When the device boots, you will get drives mounted to your PC
5.) You will also be offered IP over USB, (if on linux, or in windows if you have ndis drivers) and you can telnet to the device in default address 192.168.2.15

@juiceme

i've done steps 1, 2, 3

then i boot up and connect to usb, but i got no drives mount on windows and on linux vm!

i've looked to disk utility in linux and n9 appears there with no volumes in it, i've tried before to reflash my device with:
flasher -f -F main.bin

does this deletes my user data?

also step 5 is the problem, i can't figure out how it will be "offered to me", should i use cmd or some program?

@juiceme i cant get ubiboot working without flashing for some reason
@bat3a if you not used --erase-user-data option or flashed EMMC image your MyDocs data is OK
try to flash ubiboot instead of loading:
Code:
flasher -a main.bin -k zImage_2.6.32.54-ubiboot-02_040613 --flash-only=kernel -f -R

How do you mean, cannot get it working?
Do you mean you cannot use ubiboot to go to maintanance console when you only boot it, without flashing permanently?

hi guys

after i recovered the data from my n9, i replaced the screen and tried to charge the phone cause it's battery was empty but i get only the moslo boot with no option and it says:

try 1 (0)
partitions exported successfully via usb
...

and then shuts down without continuing charging!

tried to make the flasher charge it but it doesn't detect it.

anyway to help?
thanks in advance.
