Howdy there. Long time reader here, but could never post as no one would help me complete my original registration....
Anywho... I would like to install gpsbabel on my 770 (and my n800 too), but it shows up in the Maemo garage without an install option. I downloaded the .deb but Application Manager says "not installable". I've searched and searched, but I'm not finding what I'm missing. Could someone give me a clue?

You should be able to install it in Application Manager using "install from file".

I also want to install gpsbabel, but can't download the deb file from Maemo Garage - the downloader goes into an infinite loop as descibed in this thread on internettablettalk.

A bug report has been filed. I'm a bit surprised that this hasn't been more of an issue.
