Hi,

I suppose the Tools/Backup function on the N800 does not backup application data such as GPE calendar's or the maemopad+ database??

If that is the case, how can I back these up? I've got Xterminal and know where these files are, but do not know how to write to the memory cards from the command interface.

Oh I know cp, but where are the memory cards on the file system? (are the cards mapped to the file system?) (besides there is no "man" command on the n800 file sys...)

Memory cards are in /media folder.

/media/mmc1
/media/mmc2

Backup/Restore does backup the data files from applications. It just doesn't backup the application itself, but if you have to do a reinstall, like I did a few days ago, all your data will still be there once you reinstall the applications. (How's that for a run on sentence?)
