I really wish they would all just stick to "We don't comment on rumors."

If there was any truth in the Sale rumours The Company would just decline to comment.
Go back a little further. There was a very strong statement in late 2010 that Symbian and MeeGo comprised 2 parts of Nokia's platform strategy. Not Windows Phone 7. The equivocating came later.

He also said he needed to go round the Company and talk to people and get to know Nokia.
Its obvious when a New CEO comes in there would be change.
Find me a statement where he himself says Symbian and MeeGO are our Future there will be no change

I totally agree with you. But i have to say that while i don't think his comments make much of a difference to me it's reassuring to hear... i guess that's the whole point, no matter how it goes in the end.
Bad side of this all is that we truly have moved to a point where Nokia's CEO needs to answer Eldars rumors. Never ever would i have thought this to happen.

"put your tin foil hat*
For somebody who has been on there from the very beginning reading these Eldar rumors years before twitter over at mobile-review forums or when absolutely no tech site was still quoting his texts. I have no doubt that he is being paid by some others or by some other group(s).

He was totally different person before he started his twitter stream of rumors 2 years ago and the tone of his texts just made 180 degree turn suddenly.

He very clearly said (through Nokia corporate announcement) Symbian, MeeGo and Qt were IT in fall of 2010. Easy enough to find. Sure, he didn't state unequivocally that there would never be change, but making such a bold statement leads developers, vendors, etc to make necessary investments. Pulling the rug out from under such a significant strategy announcement a mere few months later undermines confidence in a company. You're seeing that in the stock now.

We can bandy semantics around all day, but in the end, what I'm saying is dead-on.

You may believe what you want and that actually sounds reasonable, but...

There too many coincidences here. You now what Ian Flaming sad:

Once is an accident. Twice is coincidence. Three times is an enemy action.

So no matter how much Eldar might be untrustworthy, you still have to ask yourself what has Nokia done to prove the opposite.

You know: put your money where your mouth is
And we now know where they have put their money.

Speaking of tinfoil hats... whatever became of the allegation that an eldar.murtazin@nokia.com email address had been confirmed?

Maybe it is the best possible outcome for Nokia to be bought.

Or does anybody think they can get out of this death spiral, especially with [sarcasm on] talented management [sarcasm off] they have in place right now?

Of course they can get back in the game. Release ONE meego phone and the stock race will begin

As a Nokia share holder I lost too much money, I can't afford the Meego device anymore. I guess there go 25% of their projected Meego sales right there ...
