it ruins it though when you have to explain what a terminal is let alone have some chump in a phone shop say "n900?? not really a smart phone is it?" and try sell me a samsung omnia7 haha. i just walked out shaking my head.

I doubt there are 92K meego developers out there who would apply so maybe there will be one left for him.

Hell half of those who brought the n95 didn't realise it could multitask or that it was a smartphone ..

Now if that was Apple's A95, they would have ..

That is simply nokia's #uberfail

No. Everyone can get it if they want. It's just a device that only developers want. Simple.

Phone shop assistants are usually uninterested in really understanding the phone market. A week before Motorolla Xoom's release in the UK I walked into a Vodafone store (Westfields) and was asked if I meant a phone and not a tablet. Shocked at his ignorance I stood there and explained the Android tablet market and even pointed out Vodafone's website advertising the Xoom.

Why do you care who gets what? Theres room for both types of devices in the consumer space, if the KB version has a limited run with a focus towards devs, then so be it.

Ive long been a hwkb fan but despite trying countless devices over the years, i wasnt able to find a landscape keyboard i was really happy with. Turns out im portrait keyboard man, for small but frequent inputs, the E71 type is perfect for me.

So looks like Nokia made me happy, E6 + N9 for normal life and i will get a Dali if its available.
