I hope the can be resolved without reflashing my N900 which Ive never had to do since new nearly two years ago now... so you might imagine in that time my N900 has amassed a lot of changes in that time, What I found recently is the stock app manager is very slow at loading whats availible for download...on average from click to open it can take 5mins! and it works fine when it does but its so long its un true to install or to remove or upgrade apps!. any help would be good.

Second is My CSSU install is there and I assume working but little things like screen rotate will not work even though its set to happen automatically and also even when I tell the system to minimize the desktop to Two collums in task switcher it still works as the stock maemo setting... this happened Im guessing when I installed Maemodder for the 9 home screens which is working and setup so I dont really want to uninstall that as I guess ill lose my desktops?.

So any help would be greatfully received.

HAM is really slow, try FAM (in repo's) it's a lot quicker as for cssu have you got the cssu tuner installed?

i always had 9 screens after installing CSSU, i only recently installed maemodder. the option for 9 screens is in the manage views dropdown in the edit cog?? on your desktoptop right when you tap screen you'll see it, from the dropdowns you can change background add widgets, bookmarks, shortcuts, contacts and manage screens. when you press it 4 little screens with ticks in them will open and you can slide to left enabling you to open up the other desktops.

Yes HAM is slow I know and have been using FAM for more than a year now... but my HAM is more than slow now consider this, Ive just clicked on HAM to open it and just to load it took 4 mins 37 secs... now that anit right !!. I tapped install and this took 6 mins 48 secs to show me all the app available. this two anit right...anyway my FAM is working so maybe ill just add extra devels in that and use it as my default to download. CSSU tunner is installed and Ive made all my tweaks just fine ages ago... but I still say its conflicting just don't want to uninstall or else Ill have to setup the other five desktops again.!! Well ill keep playing maybe ill hit the nail on the head.

One thing Ive just noticed is in the drop down menu on my desktop right hand side, when I go into manage views I only have 4 desktops not 9!!! how strange!!.. I cant scroll left or right at all. but yet I have 9 desktops.. all management of these Ive always done though maemodder. Now I know I have issues for sure. seems I keep it this way or I reflash and start fresh!.

Sorted my problem.. stripped out the CSSU compleatly and cleaned the phone.. then put it back from scratch... everything is working now. Although I still can't customize my 5 other desktops from the manage view menu because they dont show up.. but i can still use Maemodder for that. so all is well.
