Good to see javispedro, anidel, Marat Fayzullin, Tommi Laukkanen, Thomas Perl and many others too (but not impressive to see guys like jaffa, sjgadsby, stskeeps... it was so obvious :-p)
Expecting great stuff!

And about the MohammadAG:
Please link your name to a page describing your Nokia N950 related work e.g. a wiki page.
* Add here one line of text summarizing the project(s) and feature(s) you are concentrating.
That should not be necesary at all.

- Hello, subscribe this stuff, tell us who are you, why do you want the N950, tell us about your projects, sign here and here... and wait for the bell.
- wtf? who cares? i'm MohammadAG!
- Ok, take two.

EDIT: This is an incomplete list of 137 people (so far).
I don't know... but does anybody out there think that giving out 250 N950s to developers is an ill conceived idea. First, not having this device released was bad enough. As good as the N900 is, it does fall short in certain areas, it seemed that the N950 was a perfect next step up with improvements to performance and a larger screen. Indeed, it looked about as good as you could get for a mobile computer even if the hardware was a little dated. Clearly, many N900 owners were disappointed, so the fact that some can have it and others can't is kind of like rubbing salt in a wound. I should say that I do not begrudge the developers that acquire it. Good for them. In fact I owe them quite a bit for really increasing the utility of the N900, and, indeed, making it a lot more fun to play with. Kudos to you folks! Anyways, I just cannot understand why Nokia will not release this product to the public. Any of the earlier so called problems did not seem insurmountable and there was significant interest in it. Could Nokia have felt that, with current technology, the N950 would not be a worthy successor of the N900. I doubt it. Nokia just seems to have this uncanny ability to raise expectations and then bring you down real fast with a thud.

Funny, I could easily see buying both N9 and N950 as they could potentially compliment each other very nicely in functionality. I hope Nokia changes its mind.

With all the apps and UX being closed, that would be pretty futile. Much more productive to work on real MeeGo (& CE).

Is there any reason to believe that any manufacturer will *ever* release a Meego phone without closed apps, and various binary blobs?

No idea. My point was, you can't do a CSSU on such a system. Well, technically you can (by rewriting all the closed apps etc from scratch) but if you're going to do that you might as well work with vanilla MeeGo.

After looking over the list of folks who received these development devices I am breathing easier about the future of MeeGo. Some outstanding folks on the list, lots of names I've seen associated with quality work in the past are on the list. With only about half the device allocations announced I believe we are in good hands. Future announcements of who got a device will only add to this.

Congratulations to all who will be using the N950. I am looking forward to seeing what happens with a bit of excitement.
