What about MeeGo? Is there a similar fix/problem?

I understand that this is Maemo 5 thread, but I cannot find anyone mention this problem in MeeGo.

if the actual meego's kernel module source is this:
http://meego.gitorious.org/meego-dev...t/omap_hsmmc.c
teorically MeeGo has the same problems and it isn't patched

I will appreciate if someone with build environment to produce a binary?
Could this patch be submited to MeeGo tree?

I will appreciate if somebody with build environment compile the module against latest stable DE.

Is it possible this patch to be submited to MeeGo? Is this patch a good change, or just a hack around a specific problem? In otherwords, will this patch chnage the behavior of non failing cards?

As it's easily known by reading this whole thread (not so long, to be honest - only 7 pages...), it's general fix.As for compiling, why don't You try Yourself?

Last thing, not so crucial - to avoid missunderstanding, are You talking really about latest, untouched DE, or - as i suppose - about CE?

i'm using Adata MicroSD class 10 32GB and never a problem. My read/write speeds are 24-28MB/s read and 13.5-16MB/s write.

ADATA is superb never had problems.

One day I will find time to read and setup a building environment for Maemo and MeeGo. Currently I don't have such so I'm asking kindly if someone else could compile the patched module for me.

As for DE/CE, I think both are valid and refer to same thing

Summer Release of the MeeGo 1.2 Community Edition for N900

A quote from MeeGo wiki:
The target of this activity is to make a Community Edition of MeeGo for the Nokia N900 device. Note: The initiative was originally called Developer Edition, so you will see that mentioned in many places. Don't get confused, this is the same thing

I've attached my module that I am running on my N900 for stock kernel PR1.3.
Using a freshly installed PR 1.3 (i.e., with a stock 2.6.28-omap1 kernel), the module linked in the first post, i.e., AndrewX192's version, results in a reboot loop.

Replacing it with stlpaul's version allows the system to boot and writing to the card does not result in any errors.

Original (/lib/modules/2.6.28-omap1/omap_hsmmc.ko): 1c6e453684ea56cbb04dd0b2506d6cd6
Broken (AndrewX192's version):6bd52c239ea51cbeb34b6ead0c02e325
Working (stlpaul's version): d4468028f54732292bbe08ae4d5d73d4

I have removed the kernel module for the stock kernel from the original post. Sorry for any trouble it caused.

If you are running kernel-power >=48 then you already have the patch, and do not need to follow any of the instructions in this post.
