Hey,
i got my n800 3 days ago, and so far its been good except for 1 thing.
the sides of the screen, especially the lefr side seem to be raised...like the plastic/cover of the screen on the left side is loose and away from the actual screen, where as the middle is not. it somewhat affects the pressure needed for it to recognize the touch. is this normal or should i be worried?

thanks

Are you talking about the factory "protection" film? You can get ride of it leaving the screen with no film at all, or buy another real screen cover. I have been using my N800 with no screen protector and no scratches at all so far.

no i removed that...its like the real screen, but you have to kinda push the real screen down for it to hit..the real real screen? :S im not sure how to explain it

Ooops...if you are talking about the real screen a raised sector seems to be a defective screen...

Mine is slightly raised on the sides too. Don't worry about it. The N800 doesn't have a perfect screen from many accounts.

Well, mine's not, and I'd say that's definitely not normal. I'd say buy a spare for while it's in, and send it in to Nokia.

Torx: LOL @ the sig!

alright cool. so it doesnt have any bad long term affects? I mean, its not like its making it unusable or anything, i still can press lightly and have it recognize it.
