Hello,

I have read the big topic on memory cards but haven't gotten much information from it. Today I bought a SD4/4GBKR Memory Card. It is a 4 GB Kingston SDHC Class 4 card. I have downloaded some pictures, music, video and it seems to work well with my N800. Since it is a class 4 card that was fairly expensive, can I buy a class 4 card online (cheaper) that isn't made by Kingston and work?

Are the smaller SD cards (Micro sd?) cheaper? Has anyone had any luck on 4 GB SDHC Cards?

I appreciate your help!

-Chase

I would get an 8GB card since they are only about %30-%50 more than the 4GB cards.
If you are looking for the most bang for your buck I would go with an A-data
But if you want a Kingston here is a class 6 and a class 4.

I purchased two 8GB SDHC A-Data cards from Newegg last Friday and got them this week and they are working so far without issue. They are 49.99 with a $20 rebate, so you're looking at $30 bucks for an 8GB card. Pretty sweet deal IMO. Good luck however you decide.

As a quick note to sanraj83's post, I would only point out that another member indicated that using a mini card with adapter may be problematic when removing the card as the card itself may come out and leave the adapter in the Nokia.

@flyswatter

Thanks much for the hint. I have not had any such issues till now when removing. But I will keep it in mind . By the way are there any generally followed methods to help the adapter out of the slot in that situation ? As of now I do not plan to move the card out of the internal slot, so not my biggest concern .

And here you go, a 4GB SD card available for 25 $,

No problem Sanra (feel free to click the Thanks! button ). I only just (just!) got my Nokia when I couldn't resist a deal-of-the-day offer at $199, but I found and started vigorously reading this forum as soon as I did, and I noted pretty early in that the SD slots were a bit of an issue when it comes to inserting and removing the media. Several posts include descriptions of using a knife blade -- yikes

Since I got mine a few days ago, I can certainly atest that it behooves users of the Nokia to have fingernails. If you're a nail-biter, you're going to have a helluva time getting either the interal or exeranl SD cards out

8GB SDHC

4GB SDHC

I was able to get them cheaper last month (around $73 for a Kingston 4GB SDHC Class 6 & a Kingston 8GB SDHC Class 4 after a $15 & $20 MIR respectively)
