Who is this other Australian retailer that claims August?

Everything I've heard so far via jakiman (who has contacts @Nokia Australia) has been vague WRT retail distribution.
So it's great to hear they'll be retail availability alongside carrier subsidized N9's!

...
I'm quite sure the other retailer will ONLY be doing subsidised handsets, as they only did the N900 subsidised (& I'm looking at ETP of >$200). When I have something more concrete (Friday?) I'll certainly be posting here. Or as soon as I find something on the web.

What do you think?
more like:

550 EUR for 16
and 700 EUR for 64

reason is simple: Nokia dont want to sell Meegophones especially not the microsoftraped boarddirectors....

You've probably seen these videos taken during the Nokia Talk Brasil event held on july 26th:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mFK8...layer_embedded

According to this video Nokia announced that the n9 will be available in Brazil in September.
The bloggers who recorded the video "guesstimate" that it's going to cost 1500 BRL (670 EUR / 960 USD), which is the same price that the n8 had when it was released in Brazil.

According to this video Nokia announced that the n9 will be available in Brazil in the beginning of September.

According to the Nokia Brasil website, both the 16 Gb and the 64 Gb and the three colors will be available.

Since Brazil is always one of the last countries to get the best Nokia phones, I believe the rumors about the n9 being released in Europe in August must be true.

Is there some reason you're guarded about sharing who the retailer is?

Please do let us know when you feel you're able to.
Just as we all do, when we have the info. to share.

Thank-you.

iPhone over N900? It's like going from a custom build computer with SR-2 motherboard to an HP desktop bought at BB.

According to Russian forum (http://meegos.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=81075#p81075) price in Russia will be 23990RUR for 16GB and 25990RUR for 64GB versions which puts it roughly at 600/650EUR. Russia is known to have higher prices than in Europe for Nokia's products. It is a press-release from Nokia Russia for N9 available for pre-orders. The date is still not officially confirmed (3rd quarter is mentioned in the press-release) but rumours are pointing to August 21st-22nd in Russia.

nokia.ru now has pre-order form available.
