Not having made a widget to OC upon each start up, I just left it running at stock for a while. The annoying part is since then it has randomly shut down 3 more times.
I have not had this issue with my previous 2 N900's, and am rather confused as to why its not behaving even at stock?
What could cause this to happen?

I had this problem as well, a reflash solved it. Just make sure to save you back up somewhere else as i accidentally lost mine in the flash and had to go back to a back up for March 17 2010!

okie dokie... did a reflash and everything... have yet to do any over clocking of any kind, but the kernal for power users is installed...
i am still finding it off when i pull it out of my pocket quite frequently, and when switching it on it displays that usual spiel about custom kernal settings not loaded.
what else could it be? :S

ok, im very confused now...
have done a reflash, have re-installed minimal apps, not running a different kernel, or CSSU
Still finding my device off somewhat frequently, even when its just been sitting next to me on my desk.
I guess next i have to try and run it with absolutely zero things installed on it?
What else could this issue be? I cant keep putting up with this.

The problem might be caused by the battey moving under the back cover. Try putting something between the backcover and the battery to keep it in place, this helped me in the same situation.
