Ok..I'm not sure if I'm not holding my head right here but I just bought the PNY 2G MicroSD card and it won't fit in my n810? The card + adapter is too big to fit.. Did I get the wrong type of card?

sounds like you got the wrong adapter. It needs to be for micro to miniSD .
You could have just gotten a 2 or 4 gig miniSD card and not have the hassle you are now having.

What a drag. You can probably find a very cheap adapter online, but if you've just bought it in a retail store it might be simpler to just return it and try again.

There are some cheap ones out there if you want to give it a try... I ordered one of these but don't have the n810 yet to try it with :O

There's got to be a better deal out there. That's $0.0002 of plastic and metal.

Right now the best quick deal I find is a $15 1GB kit, where you buy another memory card that comes with the proper adapters. (w/ free ship)

Thanks to all that responded..I ended up finding the right adapter. This is why I never buy flash memory :-D
