Good Morning!

I just wondered if anyone had any idea as to whether a version of Exhumed/Powerslave could be ported to the N900? Maybe using the same controls as DoomPR?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: This game uses the BUILD engine. While the engine itself has been opensourced and ported to SDL by icculus, you also need to source of the game, as explained here: http://icculus.org/BUILD/

"No (game) source. The engine is here, and complete, but the games built on top of it aren't available in source form. That means no source mods, and no ports to modern operating systems. [...] In short, this is good for implementing a new game/application on top of the engine, but unless you are a one of the companies that developed one of those classic games, this will do you very little good."

Oh wow, I thought I was going to get answers like "Yes, someone could, but I don't think anyone liked it that much - except you!"

Thanks for the complete answer. A bit of a shame but I am sure I can dig it up on another platform.

Those FPS's from the late 90's were really much more imaginative than what we're given today. I recently played the first Quake again and actually jumped when I encountered the Lightening-yeti thing for the first time!
