DESCRIPTION

Butaca is an application which allows accessing a lot of movie-related information. It uses The Movie Database as a backend, and lets you:

• Browse movie genres
• Search for movies and people
• Shows title, rating, release date, overview and cast for movies
• Shows name, birthplace, date of birth, biography and filmography for people
• Allows keeping content as favorite (both movies and people)
• Allows sharing content using the system share interface
• Search movie showtimes now from within the application!
• Check what's on cinemas near you now from within the application as well!

I have contacted the people responsible for What's After the Credits and they have been kind enough to provide me with an API. I will add support for that, so soon you will be able to check for extras after and during the credits

Do you have plans to port it to Maemo 5?

Can you integrate the points it received? Looks nice

Thanks . If you mean the movie rating, you can see it in this screenshot. I don't support rating the movie at the moment -I plan to do it-, but the current value is shown, with the number of votes between parenthesis.

Butaca 0.3.0 is now available. Grab it at the project downloads page. It features

• Added movie showtimes support
• Added "Open in IMDb" option as part of issue #2: "Link content with other services"
• Added Settings View
• Make showtimes location and browse options configurable

And fixes:

• Issue #6: "Filmography header gets clipped for long names"
• Issue #3: "Use same font size for biography / overview and cast / filmography preview"
• Issue #4: "Format money amounts"

I have butaca installed on my n900 maemo5 and operating normally portrait and landscape meego keyboard.etc

i have it too, but it doesn't have all the features, does it?

not everything, but, in fact, can be used. I mean, you do not even need much to get to these options that can be used normally as the Harmattan device, with this community and people from community
