I still dont see why telenor.no to me: "rumored date" is official!? tre.se also said 23. Too me its obvious none of them is official.

In eather case 23 is probadly not correct anymore. Klas is just not saying anything about it anymore. probadly cause Nokia global got pissed about what he said and also the downcounter at nokia se was removed...

but anyway if 23 is not official I just ask you why 3 october is? as I stated before there is so many version in sweden atm about release date all operators listing different dates...

my guess is still some may have it in mid/end october and massproduced in november for those willing to not preorder...
Why is this so important? What is the problem? Elop said in his China interview that the N9 will see a staggered release. Some other Nokia dude said Malaysia will be among the first to get it, in the first week of October. October 3 is the first week of October (or the second, depending on how you count).

I will get mine in the first week of October That makes me happy

23 was taken out of thin air by overenthusiastic employees. 03 was a date given to Telenor by Nokia (a contractual obligation by a supplier to a customer). That is a BIG difference. 03 may be inaccurate, but it's certainly no rumor.

The head of the Nokia Smartphone Division for Latin America guaranteed that the N9 would be available in Brazil in the very begining of Q4.

Coming from a Nokia executive, that sounds like an oficial october release date.

(The full estatement was something like "We have a tentative release date for late Q3, but the N9 will definitely be available in the very begining of Q4."
Seems to me that someone got excited with the tentative September 23rd release date.)

Why on earth do you want one...
So you can furiously point & say: "Look, see how inferior it is to my iPhone!?"
