My gut tells me that there will be lots of good quality apps, including browsers, for Harmattan and I don't think that you will miss anything essential. About games I've no idea as they're mostly done by big companys targeting the most popular platforms which may or may not include Harmattan. I wouldn't hold my breath for that many high end games showing up on harmattan though.

Hey guys. You missed me?
About N9 call cababilities: it's very good. Again a good phone from Nokia. E7 has big problems in a weak field, but N9 works like a charm in the same place.
MMS: there is no need for fMMS cos everything is inbuilt you can attach photos and send MMS. Tested and works fluently.
About N9: this is real device (not a beta device) and apparently the first N9-device outside Nokia or operator organisation. Compare it with my first N900 which I got 9.9.2009. Somebody else got credits here to be the first N900 user about two months later.

Someone asked about Opera?
http://labs.opera.com/downloads/
Doesn't seem to be actively developed (last release may), but you'd have to ask them I guess.
Maybe they still have plans for launch, who knows.
I've observed a **** load of decent apps, I keep forgetting to post them.
Some of them look truly excellent...
Of course there's not the scale of iOS or Android, & likely won't ever be.
But it's looking better than Maemo 5 to me personally.
