Ive ordered mine, its being sent on friday, Ill have it by wednesday =|

The guy I talked to at Nokia Norway said they shipped the phone to Telenor (the operator that has exclusive rights on the N9 until 2012) the first of september.

Telenors confirmed release date is 30th of September. Which is on friday. So I guess they will ship it friday or maybe monday.

For the record, I paid 2800 norwegian crowns (NOK) for the phone, with a plan that costs 99 NOK per month for 12 months, totaling in at about 4000 NOK.
So it's will be out that soon in Norway, same seems to go for Sweden? I wonder why is that, especially if the N9's sold will be made in Finland.

If i can get N9 week or two before finnish release i just might order one from Swe/Nor.

Im sure I read somewhere that it wont be launched in the US/UK/Germany/France/Spain/Italy and a few others.

The same countries, on the other hand, are said to be the first to recieve the Sea Ray phone.

At least thats what I read.

yes, the Samsung Omnia 7 is a very good deal at the current 230 euro rate (Here in Holland including VAT), so that is more like 2.5x Omnia for the 8GB version, and 2x times for the 16GB version of the Omnia 7.

But a snapdragon 1GHz with 512MB ram is a good deal slower than the 1GHz cortex A8 in the N9.
Still. Omnia 7 looks like a very nice phone at that price. May get that one myself (in addition to an N9, mostly to satisfy my Windows Phone 7 curiosity). Would like to be sure that it gets the Mango update though.

It's so weird....
A whole bunch of big suff in the smartphone world seems to be all happening in the 1st half of October, N9's screwed.

The WP love-in @Engadget's still running 'hot & heavy', just a sample of a typical day there

Sooner the better, but N9 is still made in Finland and my question was how Sweden or Norway could get N9 before Finland.

Honestly. I have no idea. I thought theyd be released about the same time. Especially considering Telenor has an exclusive deal on the N9, it would make sense it was rolled out kind of late.

But from talks with both Nokia and Telenor, theyre all in line and will be shipping on release date.

Course, it could always be postponed I guess... I just hope it isnt.

All of the high end smartphones have been made in Salo since the beginning of Nokia, and still are. N900 was the first smartphone not made in Salo, Finland factory. Nokia's China factory feeds smartphones to the Asian market on and at times other markets as well.

Finland, Salo is also the place where all the protos are made.
