Don't see the cost actually.. when you make it possible for 1user, everyone can use it on the same principle.
Btw, you can choose to only sync your calendar or only contacts or only mails or any combination you want
No fear that you will have to work day and night

Well, our dear IT-department still wants few euros per month for that joy... Mickey Mouse money from pocket to another.
Mail sync can be disabled in MfE, that is true. But its a bit overkill to have to pay for using MfE only calendar sync. Although it would not be my money.

If I'd wanted to be spied by some i-love-snoop-on-your-files-in-the-cloud-big-brother, I'd go android/iOS/WP7 way.
I need an option to keep _my_ info on _my_ computer/phone.
