There is nothing odd but rather Expansys is odd for not sourcing them from another source away from Nokia.

It does not suprise me one least bit Nokia have not replied to there emails but that is Nokia for you... plain ignorant they are.

On the positive side if every company badgers Nokia for the N9 in the countries they are not selling too then it may just reverse there decision and actually have no choice but to supply to every country.

Nokia is at fault here by the way not Expansys but Expansys should not have taken pre-orders at this stage anyhow.
Nokia not selling N9s directly in the UK is NOT the same is Noklia supplying N9s to 3rd party suppliers for sale in the UK.

And Expansys' preorder is a riskless one - no money is taken from you until the items are in stock, and even then you can cancel the order if you don't like the pricing (or anything else about the product) at no penalty

I did, I'm telling you that it doesn't work like that and your actual speed will increase. For example if right now I was on a 20Mb ADSL broadband but was getting 10Mb actual speed I will not make the assumption that I will not get more than 10Mb per second if I switch to 50Mb fibre optic cable. Sure, I won't get 50Mb but it will be higher than the other.

Please define where you think the bottleneck is.

I still feel something is VERY wrong with Nokia to do this to people and as the UK is a huge market for them i just don't get it.

This is bloody elop's doing for sure i can not think of another reason but his dammm WP.

Can't really argue with that.

Yeah, BIG problem. I'm currently rocking 3 alarms each morning, one every half hour (that's a nice total of 15 snoozes, one every 5 minutes) just to get me out of bed at around 09:00 AM. If i had to get up at 06:00, I think I'd be dead by now.

would you not be easyer to wake up if you had one and a half hour more of sleep each night??

I didn't worry about the ringtones, those could be changed on just about any Nokia for the past, at least, half a decade. The rest on my list not so much...

This is what get's me up in the morning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16YgwWfRHGc
Unless I know I'll get too few hours of sleep and then I'll go for some breakore/darkstep, which could raise the dead...
You need a new alarm tone. I suggest this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11eis4XVfVE

I don't think you'll need to hear it more than once.

I went to a (different) mobilezone shop in zürich today and was told (again) that the actual phones are arriving next week. they had a few N9 dummies for me to play around with though
I've only seen the black dummy, which mobilezone shop in zurich?
I think black looks already quite nice, although very discreet. I would have preferred orange or red, but I'm fine with cyan then.

Bottleneck is the network. Networks with HSPA+ still have too small bandwidth to get to those max speeds.

This year for example here in Finland the records have been 10Mbit/s in HSPA+ networks and it is useless to even try to get that sort of speeds anywhere regardless of your equipment.

Easier said than done. I don't have a regular schedule, get home at different hours each day, got stuff to do when I get there, or I'm just not sleepy.
Usually I have a short window when the Sandman comes and if I'm not ready to hit the sack and miss it, I just stare at the ceiling until the wee hours of the night...

That's simply not true at all, otherwise there would be no reason for networks to switch to it. They would not have bothered rolling out HSPA+ networks if there wasn't enough bandwidth. You don't get max speeds but you get higher speeds than HSPA, this I know for a fact.
