The new kernel causes reboots and the reboots cause corrupted optfs. So I guess I'm gonna have a full reflash now. Start everything from scratch. It gonna take a few weeks until I get everything back again.

P/S: Guys always do backups. Biggest lesson ever.

You could see there the default values of kp-settings was altered I'm not sure yet but most probably it's a case to case problem. Maybe you could try loading lv profile instead? Hmmm wonder why they changed the default values I think default should always be default nomatter what and any changes should be applied seperately
Changing frequencies was a hard decision to make, but there was no option. Reason is that now SmartReflex is properly supported for 720MHz and 805MHz by calculating efuse calibration values using a formula from TI docs. And that formula cannot be used for other frequencies . And SR is turned on in default profile, as voltages there are extremely high, so SR will lower them to a sane values.

I am sure Pali will update changelog as soon as he has free time, but in short differences compared to previous one is (fragment from my mail to Pail):

battery module reboot on rmmod is fixed too.

Anyway, new frequencies should not lead to reboot loop AFAIK.

Can it be that Smartreflex didn't work out on your device? It was unstable before anyway for some guys, at least over 805.

It is still not supported above 805, but should work OK up to.

My device works fine with the previous kp49. I don't know what may cause the reboot but it happens right after install this version. Just reflashed and now try again.

Edit: Can't do kernel-config show as user, it said sh not found. What is wrong with my device?

Code:
 /usr/sbin/kernel-config show
also does not work? It is unclear if you summarised the error or gave it in full.

It works. And if I run as root it works. It's just that in the previous version I was able to run it straight by typing just "kernel-config show" (as user) so I don't know if something is wrong with my device or it's the new kernel behaviour.

New version is generally stable on my device with default voltages (didnt do much testing though), smartreflex causes reboots when undervolted. i've disabled SR 1/2 for stability sake.

I dont see how the frequency change would lead to reboots, also kernel- config must be run as root.

@ freemangordon,
Is your devices stable with SR + undervoltage ? or is SR is intended to be used with default voltage profile only?

just updated with no probs, using optimum profile included in CPUTweak app
