I have prepaired library which wrap i2c calls and use bq27x00_battery driver from v49. So every program which access to battery registers directly via /dev/i2c-* can use that library (via LD_PRELOAD) which use bq kernel driver. I tested now only bq27200.sh script...

If somebody is interesting see, library is here: https://code.launchpad.net/~pali/+junk/maemo_libbqioctl

Thanks, it's working nice. Pity, that it doesn't work the other way - i.e. build fake categories with values extracted from i2c (i2cdump every 60 seconds or so? should not affect battery life), that can be used as replacement of bq27x00_battery.ko That would solve problem of "living together" with bme, cause we're not going to re-write bme around this problem soon

Of course I'm not blaming You - thanks for Your work anyway. I'm just pointing out ideas, that may be interesting for some.

I wasn't sure where to post it, but, because it's vdd1=1 related, it lands here:

While using 'dsp' overclocking profile, with vdd=1 on my device (HW rev. 2101) and latest freemangordon's set of debs for HD recording/playback, I can record videos flawlessly, but playback result in well-known "unsupported file" and much dps errors in dmesg.

While I try with same settings, but vdd1=0, everything works flawlessly, and dmesg is clear of any dsp-related errors.

So, it seems to me, that vdd=1 calculates too low voltages for HD video playback, at least for some devices HW rev. 2101.

vdd2=1 doesn't result in any errors. So, for now, I was "forced" to disable vdd1.

/Estel

// Edit

If this is of any use, here I posted my efuse data:
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...postcount=2132

Of course, I can provide any info that request and possible for me to ''gather''.

// edit 2

To be honest, I remember, that karam posted same finding some time ago, but it was ignored - for obvious reasons - due to speed/battery patches. Of course, my device doesn't use any of these.

my device behaves the same way with SR on except that it gives a black screen sometimes while recording too. i currently use my custom voltage profile with SR turned off. every thing works normal. but have admit that phone is very stable(0 reboots) with sr(without considering video playback), previously it wasnt with nokia shipped sr values.

Could You execute:
Code:
cat /proc/cpuinfo
... and check "Revision"? I suspect that it's related to 2101.

hi estel,
mine is 2204 but same problem had occured..
but as freemangordon told me to lower dsp frequencies and everything is working good...recording as well as playback...
i have these settings..
500/360
550/400
600/430
720/480
805/540
850/600
on dsp freq with vdd1=1 and vdd2=1...
try these settings and see..
hope it works..

thanks

@estel, nkirk - as knobby posted you can try and move DSP overclocking to higher MPU frequencies.

Will try. BTW, aren't DSP frequencies from knobby post wrong? I think that there is no 480 DSP frequency, and instead of 540, there is 550 only. Or Am I wrong? At least, /sys/power/dsp_opps_rate seems to not contain those. Or is it just listing enabled ones?
