So i just came out of work and i turn on my n900 and to my surprise theres this icon that says hello! in big red letters.
Do you know anything about it? any idea on how it got installed by itself?
btw the name of the app is pwnitter

Go into application manager and unistall it.
if you can't find it load up xterm and look at
ls /usr/share/applications/hildon/

i'm guessing it's pwnitter.desktop

do a cat /usr/share/applications/hildon/pwnitter.desktop

look at the
exec=
line to see the executable.

maybe google it abit then remove the .desktop and the executable file.

thanks, already uninstall it, i did google it an it apears that it is used to hijack twitter
is it posible that someone has hacked my n900?

Thats the default icon of pwitter, an app to session hijack twitter accounts. Its not saying hello to you

on some apps the icons are a blue box after installing.
It's only after the reboot, where the actual icon appears and that's when you go...

hahahaha i know thats the icon i just wanted to describe it so someone who know about it could tell me what it was because i wasnt aware of what it was, now i realize i forgot to mention that it was in the app menu and not on the desktop
any idea on how it got installed?
