Doing that was not a problem for me when I used a MK hotspot. I always took that window for my own browsing.

Okay, this is weird
The problem is,
now after it logged in,
I was able to browse for a while,

but not too long after that it will act strange again,
(loading bar going left and right)
it's as if maemo fail to communicate with the router...

IIRC i read somewhere there was a bug with maemo's wifi driver,
is it caused by that?

I want to install bleeding edge, but i'm a bit worried because i read
there's one guy screwed his rover because of BE

Install bleeding edge driver. That's what I did, have no problems now.
